Vga en of monitor niet herkend?

Beste mensen,

Nadat ik mń systeem heb geupgrade naar ubuntu 9.04 kan ik de resolutie van
mń beeldscherm niet hoger instellen dan 600 x 800. onder ubuntu 8.04 werkte
ik met een hogere resolutie (768 x1028 meen ik).

Het volgende heb ik geprobeerd:

grep Driver /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Geeft: Niets


gksudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Geeft:

Het instaleren van de driver "vesa"leidt ertoe dat de monitor uitgeschakeld
wordt.

Weet iemand een oplossing hiervoor?

Je cijfers zijn onjuist:
800x600 of 1024x768

grep Driver /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Geeft: Niets

Probeer vesa als driver in de xorg.conf te zetten, en herstarten.
Nuja, je kaart / chip is duidelijk een S3, zou geen probleem moeten geven.

Als het met vesa niet werkt, weet ik het verder niet.
